2008 National Membership Meeting SisterSong will be holding our 2008 National Membership Meeting in Atlanta, on November 15-16, and we want to invite your organization or business to become a sponsor. The National Membership Meeting is expected to draw 200 women of color and allies nationally, and is a major opportunity to gain visibility amongst social justice and human rights organizations from across the country and to promote reproductive justice.
Our theme for 2008 is “Reproductive Justice: Health, Dignity, and Unity.” This two-day meeting will be a forum for collaboration within the Reproductive Justice Movement, as well as provide training and conversations about cross-coalition efforts. Our opening plenary on November 15th will focus on healthcare as a human right. Because this event is a week after the presidential elections, SisterSong will raise the critical question: “What did the 2008 presidential election mean for healthcare as a human right?” Your sponsorship will help to ensure that every woman that wants to be a part of these critical conversations will be able to attend.
