Adriana Smith Rally

  • SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective 1237 Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard Atlanta, GA, 30310 United States (map)

Join us in honoring what should have been Adriana Smith’s 31st birthday.

Adriana was a mother, daughter, and a dedicated nurse. She told her doctors something was wrong. They didn’t listen. Now she is brain dead—kept on life support against her and her family’s wishes, simply because she was pregnant.

On the day she should be celebrating another year of life, we are gathering instead to celebrate who Adriana was and to demand justice for what was done to her.

This is a birthday celebration rooted in truth, love, and action.

We will release balloons, lift up prayer, and rally to ensure that no more Black women are silenced in their most vulnerable moments.

Wear white. Bring flowers, signs, and your voice. Let’s show Adriana’s family that they are not alone.

Hosted by SisterSong, Amplify, and Black Voters Matter in partnership with the Smith family
