The Black Men Trust Black Women Roundtable is an intentional dialogue grounded in the belief that advancing Reproductive Justice requires honest conversation, accountability, and collective participation. This initiative invites Black men to engage with the leadership and lived experiences of Black women, centering trust as essential to our shared liberation.
Created by SisterSong Executive Director Monica Simpson, this work has been built slowly and with care, reflecting a commitment to being thoughtful and intentional about how men are brought into the Reproductive Justice movement. Participants are invited to join the conversation and download the Black Men Trust Black Women Roundtable Toolkits a first step toward deeper engagement.
“From politics to hip-hop, Black people’s bodily autonomy is under attack, and all of us feel the impact. Reproductive Justice demands that Black men are not just observers of this moment, but active participants in dismantling the patriarchy and systems that limit our collective freedom.
Our Black Men’s Roundtable is an intentional entry point, creating space for Black men to engage honestly on Reproductive Justice by reflecting on their own stories of privilege, care, and responsibility–because in this movement, we all have stories worth sharing.
By grounding this dialogue in trust, healing, and accountability, we aim to open the door wider, inviting Black men into deeper solidarity with Black women and gender-expansive people, and reimagine what it means for Black men to show up as protectors, partners, and co-conspirators in the fight for bodily autonomy. ”
